DCI NightBEAT Ticket
Kick off the 2025 Marching Season with a DCI show!
Mr. Pennington, the Deep Run Marching Band Instructors, and the DRBB are ecstatic to announce that the 2025 Deep Run Marching Wildcat season kicks off with a trip to the Drum Corps International (DCI) NightBEAT event on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, NC! Drum Corps International, Marching Music’s Major League, is the world’s most elite and exclusive marching ensembles for student musicians and performers (ages 13-22). NightBEAT will feature 13 marching ensembles!
Mr. Pennington will take students through the parking lot as the ensembles warm up, so students can see first-hand the routines of elite marching ensembles. It will provide an understanding of the routines they themselves will be doing as a Marching Wildcat. To accommodate this trip, the first week of Band Camp starts on TUESDAY, JULY 29, 2025.
Detailed logistics will be announced, but plan for your student to leave DRHS between 10-11a on Sunday, July 27. This will allow ~2 hours pre-show to observe warm-ups in the parking lot. The show starts at 5p, and we anticipate a return back to DRHS between 12-1a that evening.
