SUMMER 2021 VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Uniform prep will take place on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 during the next summer clinic from 4pm-8pm. If you are not available to start at 4pm, but could come a bit later to assist, that works too.

BAND CAMP VOLUNTEERS:
Please donate your time and talents for the morning shift (8am until 12noon), the lunch shift (12noon until 1:30pm), the afternoon shift (1:30pm until 6pm) or washing dirty cooling rags in the evening. If you live or work near the school, perhaps you can take a lunch shift, then set up and eat with your student!! There are 90 shifts available. If each parent takes just one shift during the two-week period, we will have plenty of volunteers! At the end of the day, you will not regret spending this time watching and hanging out with your child.

UNIFORM FITTING VOLUNTEERS:
Volunteers are also needed to suit up our 2021 Marching Wildcats! This is an easy job that even a novice can help with! We have a parent who will lead the fitting/measuring, but she is in need of a few helpers. Fittings will take place Monday, August 16th and Tuesday, August 17th during band camp from 8am - 12noon in shifts of 2-hour increments. If you have any questions about uniform fittings, please contact Mary Wilson at firstname.lastname@example.org or 804-432-2773.

BAND CAMP SUPPLIES:
Which supplies will you donate? Students need to be well-hydrated, have fruit and snacks at morning and afternoon breaks and be cooled off with freeze pops in the afternoon.
Non-Perishable items should be delivered to the DRHS Staff Room Kitchen (located in Commons 1) no later than the morning of August 16th (first day of band camp) and labeled “Band Camp”.
Perishable items may be sent in with your student and delivered to the DRHS Staff Room Kitchen (located in Commons 1) on the days you chose to bring in supplies. Please date all perishable items and clearly label individual sandwiches as “PB&J” or “Jelly-Only”, as we do have students with allergies. If your student has food allergies/sensitivities, feel free to send in “safe” snacks for them to eat.
