Marching Band
The Deep Run Marching Wildcat Band is the most decorated in Central Virginia
Performances
You can see the band perform every fall at a variety of local and out of state prestigious competitions and at every home and away football game. An integral part of the fall football game experience, the band entertains fans throughout the show with fight songs, cheers, and drum line solos with the cheerleaders and dance team.
Academic Credit
Marching Band Members receive an honors credit for the fall semester.
Rehearsals
The Marching Band rehearses once per week in the evenings during the summer. Band Camp is typically the second and third week of August, 8 AM -6 PM at Deep Run. There are evening rehearsals every day the week before school starts. Weekly rehearsals are after school every day until 6:30 PM. There are one or two Saturday rehearsals in anticipation of competitions.
Costs
Band members pay fees to help cover costs of uniforms, instruments, transportation, and instruction. The band holds fundraisers throughout the year and raises money through concessions sales at football games.
