MARCHING BAND NECESSITY LIST
Musicians must have the following items for Summer Clinics and Band Camp:
  • 1 -Black 2” 3-Ring Binder Notebook (Hornline and Percussion)
  • Sheet Protectors - many to store sheets of music (Hornline and Percussion)
  • Tuner (hornline)*no cell phone apps allowed *Suggested or comparable Tuner:  Korg CA-30 Chromatic Tuner: Metronome: Korg MA-30
  • Metronome (Pocket Size) (Hornline and Percussion) *no cell phone apps allowed
  • 2-Gallon Water Cooler w/Flip-up Spout
  • Must wear Athletic (Running) Sneakers and Socks
  • White t-shirt to be worn at ALL band rehearsals (minimal designs ok)
  • Hat to shade face
  • Backpack or drawstring bag to hold binder, sunscreen, etc.
  • Sunscreen
  • Practice Gloves (white cotton) for ALL BRASS (purchased at Jump Start, distributed at Band Camp)
  • Drumsticks (percussionists, drumsticks will be purchased and maintained by the student family)
  • FOOD and DRINK! Pack a lunch and bring your 2-Gallon water jug. Snacks will be provided during band camp. During the school year students must bring their own after-school snacks.
Musicians must have the following items prior to the first football game:
  • Khaki color short same or similar to Lands’ End Plain Front (NO CARGO SHORTS); color and length main emphasis-county dress code applies: Men: item # 241937-BP9 or Women's: item # 403782-BP7
  • Plain Brown leather or leather-look belt with simple buckle
  • All white (no logos or color bands) CREW socks and underwear under white marching pants.
  • White marching shoes (called Dinkles) to be fit/ordered first week of band camp
Color Guard Members Must Have The Following Items for Summer Clinics and Band Camp:
  • 2-Gallon Water Cooler w/Flip Spout
  • Must wear Athletic (running) sneakers and socks

​Summer performance uniform will be designated by the Guard Instructor(s). The Show Costume is provided by the Deep Run Band Boosters. The show shoes, gloves, makeup, and undergarments are purchased and maintained by the student's family.
