The Deep Run Band Boosters (DRBB) was created exclusively for charitable purposes to promote music study, composition and performance for students within the Deep Run High School Department of Bands. The DRBB is a parent-run organization which was was formed in August 2002 as an IRS Section 501(c)(3) Tax Exempt Entity incorporated in Virginia, and is run as a not-for-profit company.

The Executive Committee consists of the Band Director, the Board of Directors, and the chairpersons of Standing Committees.
How involved do I have to be? You may be as involved as you would like to be. There are plenty of flexible opportunities to spend time with your student and assist in making our band a success. We can always use help, and there are ways your time and talents can be utilized with minimal effort on your part. Statistics indicate that more students stay with the program throughout their high school career if their parents are involved! Please see the calendar for General Booster meeting dates and times. How do I volunteer to help? Sign-Up Genius - volunteer opportunities are posted on http://www.signupgenius.com. Direct links to sign-ups are sent in Eblasts, but if you do not have the direct link you can use the “Find a Sign Up” by using the following email: firstname.lastname@example.org or visit the Deep Run Band Website, click on News/Events tab, then the Volunteer tab. How do I send in payments/forms? There are a variety of ways payment/forms can be turned in.
Metal lock box in the band room. There is a locked metal box in the band room. Most payments and forms can be turned in here by your student if the items can make it out of the dreaded book bag.
20th century technology. The use of electronic payment services such as PayPal and online forms are used.
Snail mail. Yes..sometimes you will be asked to mail the payment to the Boosters. The Boosters' mailing address is:

What type of fund raising will the Band be doing this year? Throughout the year, we try to create many varied opportunities for students and parents to raise funds to help offset the high cost of running a top-notch marching band program. You don’t have to participate in ALL of the fundraising efforts, however, the more you do, the less the band’s overall fees will be. There is certainly something on this list that every student can participate in. Typical fundraising efforts include:

Concert Plant Sales
How will I get important Band Program Information? Eblasts - Emails are the primary means of communication. During our active season, you should expect to receive one or more Eblasts per week. If you are not getting Eblasts please contact the Booster President to have your email address added to this critical communication tool.
Band Website - check for updates, calendar of events and meetings, and forms. You may need a password to access some areas of our website.
